Requirement
Our medical supplier required a mobile based solution to allow medical sales staff to interact with surgeons at surgery / medical practises for the selection, design and order of surgical packs used in operations. Key requirement being the ability to visualise the pack design, ensure that sterile versus non-sterile placement of product rules were adhered to, and finally the capability to cost packs based on volumes.
The design needed to take into account mobility, offline access (as many areas in hospitals have no network connectivity), as well as provide for a highly visual and easy to use surgical pack designer for the placement of sterile and non sterile products in an effective manner.
Solution
Our solution design was based around an iPad’s portability and processing power. We developed a native app in Swift a to ensure that surgeons had access irrespective of location or time to be able to design, select product options, assess cost detail and final order customised surgical packs for the operative needs.
The solution consisted of sales administrative web portal with an offline mode synch capability on the iPads to allow for flexibility.
