Specialists and trade persons in Australia are required to be certified on height safety when accessing roof tops of commercial buildings. Building managers and property owners bear the responsibility of ensuring compliance and safety when works occurs on their building roofs.

Our startup client saw an opportunity in the market place to provide a mobile based platform to help with training, compliance and general safety for those working on the roof, and for the building owners/property managers who control access.

Solution

Our startup client saw an opportunity in the market place to provide a mobile based platform to help with training, compliance and general safety for those working on the roof, and for the building owners/property managers who control access.

We also built native mobile apps for iOS and Android allowing specialists/trade persons to gain entry, verify training requirements, perform on the spot training and gain certification and access to a buildings roof. Further capability was built into to perform inspections, record evidence (photos, videos, voice recordings) of roofing installations and to alert building managers of activity on roofs.

The new platform has revolutionised the way height safety is performed and simplifies compliance and access control considerably.
